When you survey the landscape of the home improvement industry, you will find there are many individuals who made a successful transition from serving their country to serving the independent channel.
The North American Hardware and Paint Association (NHPA) is excited to announce this inspiring new program—Helmets to Home Improvement—designed to honor the sacrifices these individuals made with their service, as well as their contributions to our industry.

About the Program
The Helmets to Home Improvement program is dedicated to celebrating and recognizing industry veterans for their service to our country and their contributions to the independent home improvement channel. Each month throughout 2025, NHPA will highlight and honor a Helmets to Home Improvement honoree and share their story. Featuring honorees from each branch of the military, NHPA will also spotlight honorees from the wholesale, manufacturing and service segments of our channel. In March 2026, NHPA will host a reception on-site at the National Hardware Show where we will honor the Helmet to Home Improvement award winners and celebrate their achievements alongside industry peers.
