In September 2020, the North American Retail Hardware Association expanded its membership to include paint and decorating retail outlets. The association also changed its name to reflect the expansion. Today, the North American Hardware and Paint Association (NHPA) exists to help all retailers within the independent home improvement channel become better, more profitable operators.
